Claiming the VAT exemption is extremely easy, and any VAT registered business (not locally registered for VAT in the Netherlands) will be able to claim the exemption automatically on our website.

Firstly, you need to provide the EU VAT ID of your business in the following format for the validation on the checkout: XX123456789 (no special characters or spaces)

Then, you need to press on the Validate button once, and give our system a few seconds to contact the VIES database to confirm the VAT number you have provided is valid.

Once you have received a success message (in green), you can continue to the checkout by pressing on the same button again.

Before checking out, confirm the VAT has been removed from your order. If there are any issues, email us and we're happy to assist: info@kabelbinders.com

We will send you an order confirmation email automatically, which includes a direct link to download your VAT invoice. This invoice will also include the VAT number you have provided during the VIES validation.

The system only accepts VAT numbers in a specific format that consists of your country code, followed by the VAT number. Please ensure there are no spaces or special characters when entering your VAT number.

Please note that on occasion the official VIES database might be under heavy load, and you may have to try the VAT number validation again in case you get an error message advising you to do so.

If you have given the system enough time to contact the VIES database after the first button press, and ensured the VAT number is in the correct format; you can try refreshing the checkout page and entering the VAT number again. Please note that you should enter your complete business details and address before attempting the validation.
